At Sycamore, we pride ourselves on partnering with our customers to proactively maintain their critical equipment. Recently, our Parts and Service Team, led by John Cooper, successfully carried out the annual preventative service and maintenance of a Three Tank, Four Channel Tanker Bay CIP System and the Whey Protein Concentrate Export System that we provided for Dale Farm.
The Parts and Service Team delivered this preventative maintenance as a part of our Project Support Package. The Project Support Package compromises of recommended spare parts, process and operator training, preventative maintenance and health checks & optimisation. This package ensures that the process plant operates at its original design performance throughout its lifetime, minimising unplanned production downtime and maximising efficiency.
Tanker Bay CIP System – Annual Preventative Service
This comprehensive service was the first service that included detailed inspections of the three CIP tanks, wet end servicing of all valves and pumps using OEM Service Kits, and a full IO Test to ensure optimal system functionality. By addressing all critical components, we’ve helped Dale Farm minimise the risk of unplanned downtime, ensuring their milk tankers are cleaned effectively and as designed.
Before completing the service, our team oversaw the system live in action, verifying its smooth operation and ensuring the site could resume production seamlessly. A full Health Check Status Report has been issued, confirming the CIP system is operating to its original specifications and delivering validated cleaning performance.
Whey Protein Export System – A Follow-Up Preventative Service
Soon after servicing the Tanker Bay CIP System, our team returned to Dale Farm to conduct the annual preventative service of their Whey Protein Concentrate Export System. This critical system ensures the effective export of whey protein, a key product in Dale Farm’s operations.
The service involved detailed inspections of the system’s valves, pumps and seals, maintenance of the wet ends using OEM parts, and validation of process parameters to ensure the system operates efficiently. As with the CIP system, proactive maintenance of the Whey Protein Export System significantly reduces the risk of unplanned downtime, safeguarding production continuity, allowing Dale Farm to continuously be able to export their high-quality WPC.
This approach reduces downtime illustrating the benefits of proactive service and preventative maintenance, ensuring that Dale Farm can rely on their process systems. With regular health checks and servicing, both the Tanker Bay CIP and Whey Protein Concentrate Export system are primed to deliver uninterrupted performance.
