I am the Quality Assistant and I joined Sycamore in February 2022 and work in the Management Systems Team, where all the magic happens.
I have responsibility for:
- Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR)
- Suggestions for Improvement (SFI)
- Supplier Evaluations
- Ensuring all items of equipment are serviced, PAT tested, and maintained in order to comply with legal requirements.
I am also a member of the Green Team, which meets on a monthly basis. The Team’s objective is to help Sycamore reach Net Zero by adopting greener practices, such as going paperless, installing PV panels, and using electric vehicles. I have recently completed an ‘Understanding Climate Change and Environmental Awareness Course’ to support my activities on the Green Team.
I enjoy working at Sycamore because it is a forward-looking company, which embraces change. It is supported by a great team of employees, and it promotes opportunities for young people, as demonstrated by winning the Somerset Business Awards, Apprentice of the Year 2023, and the Large Business of the Year Award.
My hobbies include keeping fit, anything from boot camp, cycling, yoga, walking, and gardening preferably after a shopping trip to a garden centre.
In a previous role, I visited RAF Scampton, home of the Red Arrows, and was allowed to sit in a Phantom jet.
